The Myrmidon Mod [Legendary Elite Unit] для Total War: ROME II - Emperor Edition
This little mod adds the "Myrmidon Swordmasters" to all hellenic factions.
The Myrmidon Swordmasters are available in hellenic tier 4+ main military buildings and the hero shrine.
Their attack stats are slightly better than the praetorians, which makes them a good offensive unit, but their melee defense is just average. This makes them vulnerable to missiles encirclements.
Known as the best and toughest fighters in Bronce Age Greece the hellenic rulers of the Ancient World called the Myrmidons of Thessaly back to life.
With their black armour and epic swordplay skills they are the optimal shock troop to crack an enemy armies flanks.
More likely to fight to the last man than any other warriors the Brothers in Arms of Achilleus, Son of Peleus, are also the best troop to choose as a linebreaking spearhead of any hellenic force.
But unlike their former leader they are not invincible. Just like every other men of flesh and blood they die, bleed, sweat, crap and puke when their last hour has come.
Although they would stretch their enemies to their limit in melee combat they are quite vulnerable to missiles.
Because simple plate cuirass that provides agility and strike capability is no big deal for a direct arrow blow. For this reason these peasants from the harshest landscape of greece were drilled to fight side to side and even form impressive defence formations.
If the Myrmidons are used wisely they can be the key to the blossoming of a new Hellenic Empire that fits for an Alexander.
