[Outdated] [EEM] Exploration Enhancement Mod v.2.8 - With new AI для Space Engineers
It is a copy of modification [EEM] Exploration Enhancement Mod v.2.8(13.05.2017 13:26) with reworked artificial intelligence and many corrections of various degree of importance.
Outdated
Currently mod is outdated and can work unstable or not fully functional... i don't have opportunity to update him... sorry.
WARNING: You need exactly replace original mod on this, by no means not use both mods in same time, it will bring to errors in AI logic.
Fighters/Drones
- Fighters now can try to escape if they take a critical damage or loose all weapon, but with small chance he can enter to rage-mode and fight to death.
- Drones if take a critical damage now can try to escape, but with very small chance, mostly they fight to the death.
Miscellaneous
- Much code changes, mostly cosmetic.
Fighters/Drones
- Completely reworked AI of fighters/drones, now player not the only one target for them, they prefer focus on hostile protective systems and weapons first, and only after this they attack less important objects.
- Fighters no more attack neutral players and buildings.
- Fighters now retreat if they can't find hostile targets.
- Chance to call to reinforcement now limited in script at 75% maximum, this will not allow ships to unlimited call the reinforcement... sometime they end... ,’)
Freighters
- In passive mode freighters now not fall like space brick, they a fly, like this is should be. They will not be more crash of your buildings or asteroid on full speed, so far as far a basic AI allowed.
- Flying speed of freighters in passive mode now limited is 15-50% of max world speed, but no more than speed cap in ship sbc file.
- Flying speed of freighters when they run from enemy, now limited is 50-75% of max world speed, but no more than speed cap in ship sbc file.
- Freighters now will periodically change speed.
- Freighters now try to escape and call assistance only if detect a enemy or player a near of him suspiciously long.
- If any someone grind a freighter block they turn hostile to all players of around him.
Miscellaneous
- Added chat commands “/EEM AI_Debug: Enable” and “/EEM Ai_Debug: Disable” allow to enable/disable logging “AI thoughts” in file “%appdata%\SpaceEngineers\Storage\941655638.sbm_AI and Exploration\info.log” for analysis in future. But be careful when use this option and don’t forget to disable it, because a log file size increased a soo fast.
- NPC-Factions do not offer peace right after game loading.
- NPC-Factions do not offer peace right after creating new faction.
Known issues
- For the most part NPC still do not respond on blocks grinding. You can grind all ship, "pilot" will not even notice of that...
- You can call armed forces of any factions on any time, you just need to build antenna named as “DISTRESS SIGNAL LEVEL 1\2\3”, after that, transfer it to NPC-faction... it is may be used to make combat action at any time, and may be it is a shtick, but i think it's a bug...
- To aiming during combat, fighters still using a standard Keen-AI, he have a really bad accurate when aiming at tiny ships...
- Sometimes fighters not stop shooting when they start to retreat, it is a bug with interaction from "Standard Keen-AI" and right now i don’t known how fix it.
- You need to disable "Shoot to neutrals" in turret options, otherwise they can attack neutral npc ships and cause aggression from they side.

- In general, potential to development AI is huge and still a lot of things can be made (escort of freighter by fighters, battle formations, retreat in case of receiving critical damages, etc) there would be desire... but makinging mods for Space Engineers is so inconvenient and unpleasant, that i don’t have a desire to continue work on this...
