It's the end of the 80's and 'green power' has been introduced. Discard the smelly old diesel power station and replace it with solar panels, designed to be placed right next to the road.

Each solar power group consists of 8 solar panels and can hold up to 40 capacitors:
plenty of juice for anything you might need.
Solar stations can only be used outdoors.

There is also a XL version of this mod for those who are more power hungry.

WARNING: it is quite obvious, but of course this mod will completely mess up any saved game with 'traditional' power stations, because the size of this power station is bigger than the original one which is being replaced. So you'd better dismantle those old power stations first before loading this mod in a saved game. Or just start a new map without problems. Disabling this mod will safely turn the solar power stations back into normal power stations.
